What remains: a collection of work on the impact of perpetrator suicide on women.
We're working in collaboration with a woman with lived experience of perpetrator suicide to support the develop of better responses to this form of post-seperation abuse through resource development and action research. The first piece of work involved convening a group of survivors of perpetrator suicide to develop a resource for survivors and a resource for organisations.β βThe resource was co-designed by hosting an eight week programme alongside our partners at Rising Sun and Amparo (Ingrid and Karen) and a small group of women. The sessions were a mix of support and co-design, as we recognised that for many women, this was the first time they had spoken to anyone about their experiences.
We've also been working on sourcing funding for further research and submitting chapters to academic work on domestic homicide. Our next step is to secure funding to develop something to support mothering after perpetrator suicide.
